Kevin W. Kuykendall joined American Capital in April 2003. In January 2005, Mr. Kuykendall was placed in charge of building an energy investing effort for American Capital. Mr. Kuykendall was promoted to Managing Director in 2006 and now leads a team of energy-focused investment professionals based in Dallas, Texas.

Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Kuykendall was a Director in the Principal Investments Group of Enron Corp., where he spent seven years originating, executing, managing, and exiting a wide variety of energy-related investments, including leveraged buyouts, asset breakups, and early-stage direct equity investments in the exploration and production, oilfield services, coal, utility services, power, and power technology sectors.

Mr. Kuykendall currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Innova-Extel Acquisition Holdings, Inc., Fosbel Inc., and Dynojet Research, Inc., as well as a board member of CMX Consulting, Inc. and United Food Group, LLC, in addition to having served on 13 other Boards of Directors over portions of the past fifteen years.

Kevin earned an M.B.A. with a Finance Concentration from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.B.A. in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma.
