Jimmy Byun

Vice President, Buyouts

Jimmy Byun joined American Capital in 2007 and is currently a Vice President on the New York Buyouts team. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Byun was an Associate at Harbourvest Partners, a Boston-based private equity investment firm, focusing on direct investments in operating companies.  Previously, Mr. Byun was an Investment Banking Analyst at Citigroup in the Financial Sponsors Group. Mr. Byun currently serves as a Director on the boards of Mirion Technologies, Inc and eLynx and helps monitor American Capital’s investment in SMG.

Mr. Byun received a Bachelor of Science in Economics, cum laude, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
