(Nasdaq:ACAS) announced its Board of Directors has declared a first quarter 2002 dividend of $0.59 per share, payable on March 29, 2002 to record holders as of March 15, 2002. This dividend is an 11% increase over the first quarter 2001 regular dividend of $0.53 per share. American Capital has paid and declared $8.35 in dividends since its August 1997 IPO.
