BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- American Capital Strategies (Nasdaq:ACAS)announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a first quarter 1999 dividend of $0.41 per share payable on March 31, 1999 to record holders as of March 24, 1999. This dividend is a 10% increase over the previous quarters regular dividend of $0.37. American Capital declared $1.34 in total dividends for 1998.
